THE SHAPEOKO 3

The shapeoko 3 is a powerful CNC router created by Carbide 3D. It includes many professional features that designed to make it easy for anyone to use. The Shapeoko 3 is powered by Carbide Motion PCB.

THE DUET 3

The Duet 3 is a powerful microcontroller design for 3D printers and CNC machines. This controller is a huge step up from the standard Carbide Motion PCB, and will allow us to add all our desired modifications for the Shapeoko. We have also made a version of our modification for the Duet 2.

THE CUSTOM CODE

The firmware is the foundation of the software. The duet runs RepRap firmware, a 3D printing focus firmware that have evolved to include standard CNC G-Code. The GRBL firmware found on stock shapeoko is arguable better for CNC machines, but RepRap development have drastically improved over the years. The Duet also comes with build in web interface along with the available touch screen.  Lastly the Duet 3 is G-Code controlled, all setting, jobs and files  are easy to modify and expand. We have made custom code to allow the duet 3 to incorporate all the new modifications

THE ADD-ONS

With the Duet microcontroller the shapeoko now has far more power to offer, and so we added a variety of add-ons to take advantage of the expanded capabilities.

SPINDLE

A air cooled 1.5 KW Spindle Powered by a 220V Variable Frequency Drive Controller. With Active Speed monitoring to the Duet 3

Active DUST SHOE

A Pneumatically powered dust shoe. Created by modifing a "Suck-It" dust shoe. Allows easy acces to tool changer when disengage.

Touch Probe & BitSetter

With the expanded I/O we can incorporate both a bit setter and touch probes. The allows easy tool managment with the tool changer.

Tool CHanger

No more manualy pausing the program to change tools. Our tool changer supports 7 tools. Allowing the CNC to automaticly flip to the best tool for job with minimum down time.
